10 Churches In Tagaytay Perfect For Weddings | In and Around Tagaytay

This is a follow-up to one of our earlier posts, “5 Churches Perfect For Tagaytay Weddings”.  Covered on that post were:

Lourdes Church in Tagaytay City,
San Antonio de Padua in Silang, Cavite,
Madre de Dios Chapel within Tagaytay Highlands,
The Transfiguration Chapel in nearby Caleruega, Batangas,
and Chapel on the Hill in Batulao

Of these five churches, only two are actually within Metro Tagaytay— Lourdes Church in Tagaytay City, and San Antonio de Padua in Silang.

1. Candelaria Chapel in Alfonso
Located in Buck Estate in Alfonso, Cavite.  Candelaria Chapel is just a stone’s throw away from Sonya’s Garden.  There’s hardly anything online on Candelaria Chapel, although you might want to check out photos of Marjorie and Maynard’s wedding.

2. Ina ng Laging Saklolo in Tagaytay City
Ina ng Laging Saklolo Church is located in Sungay West, which should be on your left side, if you’re headed down towards that area of Tagaytay with View Park Hotel, Balai Taal, and People’s Park.

4. Our Lady of the Candles Parish in Silang
Also known as Our Lady of Candelaria Parish Church, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, or Silang Church.  The church has been around since the early 1600s, making it one of the oldest churches in the region.

Fun fact: On the main retablo is the image of its patron saint, the Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria. The image was found in a mountain side in 1640 and disappeared nine times over the next few years – inexplicably going back to where it was originally found, until it was installed on its present site.

10 Churches In Tagaytay Perfect For Weddings
A list of 10 churches in Tagaytay for those planning weddings, Visita Iglesia trips, or personal spiritual journeys, on Renzie Baluyut Online.

By Renzie

Renzie voluntarily removed himself from the hectic Metro Manila lifestyle, and moved to Amadeo, Cavite, just outside Tagaytay where he can wake up to the sound of roosters, and freshly brewed coffee in the morning.
By day, he manages a specialty cake shop. On weekends, he studies real estate management. In his spare time, he tinkers with websites. He loves DC action figures, the smell of paperback books, and KFC Hot N' Krispy.
