There's this unassuming restaurant at Paseo de Sta. Rosa that serves pretty good but cheap Japanese food.
Upon the recommendation of a friend, this is where we ended up for lunch.
Check it: an order of takoyaki (4 pcs) for php20.
A bowl of shoyu ramen is php80.
We also had okonomiyaki (a savory pancake), a katsu set meal, and (for dessert) a harabute taiyaki-- a fish-shaped pancake stuffed with ice cream. More takoyaki to go.
Total bill? Php400.
Ryuma at Paseo de Sta. Rosa is quite possibly one of our best finds as far as cheap but pretty tasty Japanese food is concerned!

From Across The Kitchen Table
While I don't consider my site to be a food blog by any means, I do love to eat: eating out, trying out new and interesting food establishments, and even cooking and baking.
Particularly in the Philippines, the love for food brings us all together. Just go look at any social gathering, office meeting, or any time you meet with friends or colleagues-- there's bound to be some food involved.
So, if you'd want to check out some of the establishments I've visited, or some of the more interesting food experiences I've recently had, then hop on over to my collection of posts from across the kitchen table.
